Wood Carving in Floral designs in the style of a Ruyi SceptorThis is a contemporary wood carving that is expertly done. Like the ruyi, the design is centered in three places, the ends and the middle. Through the use of modern tools, the carver could make dramatic cutouts that enhance the delicacy of the design through the thin tendrils of the leaves and still it is solidly grounded in the base which resembles a branch of a snobby pine tree. The flowers on each of the three segments appear to be lotus flowers

3/4 inch deep and 2 3/4 inch high

but the bottle is in good condition

The carved panel is of interest to the history buff
