Sarracenia purpurea 'Sorrow'Sarracenia purpurea 'Sorrow' is a unique cultivar with striking pigmentation differences from typical Sarracenia purpurea subsp. purpurea. It originated from a batch of seeds obtained in Miami, USA, and sown in 1979 at the Botanic Gardens Liberec, Czech Republic. Among the seedlings, botanist Miloslav Studnika identified a partially albinotic mutant, which he selected for its cultivar potential. The plant shares the same morphology as wild Sarracenia
